This book has a timely message as the UK attempts to struggle out of the chaos of Brexit. It asks the question, should the majority carry the vote? If the answer to that question is yes then we have a lot to consider. Do our leaders always serve us well? Have they got our interests before their own? Should we just follow like sheep? Wordly Traveller –
An important book for the Brexit debate
This book could not be more timely!
The question that it poses is whether we should follow the principle that the majority rules and decides/makes policy when we feel the minority position is actually the correct one. The author convincingly builds her case to show that those leading the majority can be untrustworthy and/or corrupt, they may not have our best interest at heart; rather, they may have their own interests and aspirations at the forefront of the political agenda, and they may be leading us not to the promised land but to more hardship and austerity simply to serve their selfish ends.
This is a thought-provoking and controversial book which may change readers’ attitudes and approaches and enrich the Brexit debate.
Strongly recommended!
